By Ellen Kurt, KCRG-TV9

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Police are trying to find whoever stole Cedar Rapids native and race car driver Landon Cassill’s BMW. Roger Cassill, owner of Cassill Motors and Landon Cassill’s father, says a salesman showed an interested buyer the 2008 BMW M6 on Saturday and left the keys in it. Some time between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. the next day, two men came to Cassill Motors and took the keys, Cassill said. Surveillance video shows those same men circling the parking lot at 11:17 p.m. Tuesday. Cassill says they took the BMW Wednesday morning at 2:13 a.m. and that the car was not taken by the buyer who looked at it on Sunday.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cedar Rapids police at 319-286-5491.
