Sets of Siblings Make The Fighting Saints A Family Affair

By Josh Christensen, Reporter

DUBUQUE, Iowa -- It’s very common to have brothers and sisters on the same team, but it’s unusual to have two sets of siblings on one team.

But that’s the case for the Dubuque Fighting Saints.

The first pair of brothers is Jared and Alex Privitera. Jared was on last year’s Fighting Saints team, and Alex is in his first season. This is the first time they have played on the same team.

The second set is Keegan and Jason Ford. Last year, Keegan spent the full season with the Fighting Saints, while Jason played just five games. This year, they’ve enjoyed a full season together.

“It’s nice to be able to play with your brother, and we live together too,” Keegan Ford said. “So it’s been a good year.”

“To play at a high level like this with your brother, and to be able to share a lot of the experiences,” Jason said. “Not many people can do that.”
